Bosch Power Tools drives closer to its customers
Inaugurates “Bosch Power Drive”
to reach the users in key markets across India

• Intends to spread awareness about Bosch innovation and upgrade the users of Power tools
Bosch India, a leading supplier of technology and services, announces the launch of 4 mobile units that will reach out to and offer a platform for end-users to experience the newly launched range of power tools under its BOSCH POWER DRIVE campaign. The purpose of the 90 day drive is to connect with the users in Tier 2 and tier 3 cities besides the main metros and other Tier 1 cities. The campaign is a sucession to the newly launched range of Bosch Power tools besides others.
Henning von Boxberg – Global President, Bosch Power Tool Division flagged the drive from Bangalore said “This is a brand building initiative besides an outreach program that is being conducted region wise in India to further reinstate the launch of the affordable range in India whilst keeping in mind the new strategy of reaching out to the users. The idea is to spread awareness that Bosch is now available not only as a solutions provider but also in terms of training, branding, customer service and any other backend support that may be needed by the users and dealers”.
Commenting on the campaign, Panish PK, Vice President, Bosch Power Tools India said, ¨There is a growing need to address the demand especially from Tier 2 and Tier 3 markets. While users generally operate with Hand Tools, there is tremendous scope of educating them on Power Tools. Our Bosch Power Drive campaign will not only help spread the awareness, it will also help in strengthening our presence in key markets¨.
While estimates suggest that the domestic power tool industry is growing at an annual rate of 5-7 per cent and there is immense potential for players in this sector to reap the benefits, the power tool sector in India is largely unorganised with the presence of small and medium players who import cheaper tools that are unreliable. Also, with the growth in demand from metalworking, manufacturing, capital goods and other such industries, the power tools segment is set for a steady growth in the coming years. This creates a huge potential for Bosch Power tools to introduce innovative, efficient and easy-to-use range of power tools.
The Bosch Power Drive will cover key markets across the North, South, East and West over a span of 90 days.
