Replacing the Battery (see figure D)

When the battery has been removed in order to replace it, keep it away from paper clips, coins, keys, nails, screws or other small metal objects that could make a connection from one terminal to another. A short circuit between the battery terminals may cause burns or a fire.

Replace the battery if the operating time is significantly reduced after charging.

Loosen the screw (7) with a suitable tool and remove the battery compartment cover (8).

Press in the tab on the battery's connector plug (14) and pull the connector plug out of the connection socket (13). Remove the battery (15) from the battery compartment.

Insert a new battery (15) into the battery compartment. Only use a Bosch lithium-ion battery (order number ‎1 619 PS3 179‎‎‎‎) intended for this measuring tool.

Carefully push the connector plug (14) into the connection socket (13) without applying force until the tab on the plug clicks into place.

Insert the battery compartment cover (8) and tighten the screw (7).
